A common question we would hear several times a day, “Now that we are done shopping, where can we go for lunch?” We took our customers’ comments, added our own ideas and designed the ideal lunch spot right inside the General Store of Minnetonka. In November of 2000, the General Store Café served its very first customers.
The General Store Café’s menu changes daily to allow us creativity in what we serve and to take advantage of the season’s best flavors!
Everyday you will see a selection of 6 homemade salads, including our General Store Chicken Salad (white meat of chicken, red grapes, celery and mandarin oranges dressed in a ginger, mayonnaise dressing). This salad is so popular that it is put on the menu every single day! You will also see 3-4 delicious soups to choose from. |
Whether you choose soup or salad, enjoy your choice with an old-fashioned popover straight from the oven! If you’re in the mood for a deli sandwich, we will make you a sandwich with locally baked bread, the best quality of meats and your choice of veggies and cheese. 
Finish off the perfect lunch, with a dessert made from scratch! Enjoy one of our famous chocolate chip cookies or indulge in our homemade bread pudding topped with caramel sauce and whipped cream. |

The Café is open the same hours as the General Store of Minnetonka. Desserts and coffee drinks are served during these hours.
